The most comprehensive single-source collection of
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu,

MMA
techniques on the Web.
The techniques described here should not be attempted without the supervision of a trained instructor. These techniques should only be attempted by someone who is cleared by a medical doctor to participate in rigorous exercise. Even if you are cleared by a doctor and have a trained coach watching carefully, you still might get seriously messed up, so be careful, damnit.
I've told all of my students that "it's only a matter of time before you get injured." In fact, rather than assume some level of luck, just go ahead and assure yourself that if you are training hard, you WILL get hurt. Half of us freaks that train in this wicked sport are walking wounded 90% of the time. That's just the way it goes. Whine all you want about it, and milk it with your girlfriend, because she's probably the only one who cares when you get hurt. Your fellow students, coaches, and competitors are all hurt also, so don't come crying to us with your squished-up ribs, your yanked-out shoulder, and the enormous, ugly welt on your forehead.
This isn't cub scouts and isn't a social dance class. Expect bruises, cuts, blood, pain, long bouts of painful recovery, and potentially cool scars to show off at work. You may eventually become a seriously dangerous bad-ass if you train long enough and get lucky, but you will most likely come out uglier. Like anything else, it's a trade-off. I'll bet Randy Couture wouldn't trade in his UFC belts for pretty ears.
And for you teenagers and twentysomethings raised on Jackass and CKY videos, it's always fun to watch other guys do sick stuff. Trust me, if you aren't fit as hell, technical, and have a high pain threshold, you're going to end up crying, puking, running away, or all of the above. Get mommy to pay for classes and learn how to do this for real. Chances are, your backyard brawling won't do much more than get your mullet covered with mud. :-)
